Our hand roasted coffee bags

Here you can find our different coffees that we hand roast in small batches. Until we grow and acquire a larger roaster, we aren’t taking online orders, even though we’d absolutely love to! Not to fear however, as you can find our bags of coffee in our pod at the market, or you can email us and we can figure out delivery or collection.

Bruhwer Farm, Quilanga, ECUADOR

Roast: Medium
Processing: Washed
Growing altitude: 2000 masl
Certifications: Rainforest Alliance, Fair Trade, Wild Coffee Certified
Varietal: 100% Arabica. Caturra, Typica, Catimor, Catuai Amarillo

This single origin coffee from Ecuador has a really complex flavour profile. There are citrusy notes like lemon and lime, as well as red berries. Because we take it to a medium roast and let the sugars begin to caramelise, you may also get some chocolate or nutmeg flavours coming through. Great as a filter coffee or French press, but also comes out delicious through our espresso machine.

Hacienda Sonora Estate, COSTA RICA

Roast: Medium-light
Processing: Natural
Growing altitude: 1200 masl
Certifications: Rainforest Alliance
Varietal: 100% Arabica. Red Catuai

The best thing about this coffee, apart from the beautiful fruity flavours, is the farm it’s grown on. Alberto and Diego Guardia aim to have a positive impact on the environment and on the people that surround their business. They only use renewable energy on the farm, and provide housing for their staff and their family. Not only that but they also cover water cost, trash collection, and part of the electricity.

As this coffee is a little acidic, we roast the coffee quite light. This brings out all the sweet fruity flavours, as well as a complementing tartness, while ensuring there’s no bitterness coming through. We love using this in our espresso machine, but it’s also really great in a moka pot or aeropress.

The Decaf Blend

Origins: Brazil, Ethiopia, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia
Processing: Washed and Natural
Growing altitude: 1250 masl
Certifications: Swiss Water Decaffeination Process
Varietal: 100% Arabica. Bourbon, Catuai

Just because you want a coffee without the caffeine, doesn’t mean you deserve to be drinking bad quality, burnt, flavourless beans. You deserve the best! These beans, sourced from a range of differed farms, are put through the Swiss Water Decaffeination Process, which, along with the CO2 process, is by far the best. There are no chemical solutions used, just water, meaning you get all the full flavours the beans have to offer.

We roast this slightly dark allowing some lovely rich chocolate flavours to come through, as well as some zesty lemon notes. A really high quality decaf even the caffeine lover would approve of.
